Pirates cove down at little corona beach (south side of the entrance to newport harbor) is where I have free climbed a lot. Up in Wier canyon are some rock walls. Black star canyon entrance is a popular spot. Up on the Ortega HWY near the candy store are some bouldering area's. You just really gotta get out an find a nice rock an have fun. There are several rock climbing gyms in the OC this is a good one, talk with the folks there.
